Lack and Loss in America

There are some things that the human beings who have attained high office cannot accomplish no matter how hard they try or what laws they pass.

The immutable laws or commands of God Almighty are not "up for debate" and cannot be changed by the whim and will of man.

Murder is murder, even when you give it a technical name like abortion.

Unnatural carnal knowledge remains unnatural even when the highest court in our land says it's okay to enter into such reprobate behavior.

Sin is sin because God says it is sin.  Man cannot legislate to make sin legal and acceptable.

As America slides into the oozing filth pit of sin with glee and alarming speed, God continues to offer true freedom to those who chose to repent of sin, even manmade legalized sin, and accept the redeeming work Christ Jesus made available by His sacrifice on the Cross.

Meanwhile, don't let anyone condemn you as you consider your choices, for Jesus Himself declared that He did not come to condemn but to save.  Salvation is available to all who call upon the Name of Jesus.

Our country may be sliding into an immoral mess, but individuals do NOT have no choice but to slide on down with it.  Choose LIFE today.  Your eternal life in Christ the Lord.  Call on the name of Jesus, repent of your sin; ask and receive forgiveness and be made whole today.

Pray for the Justices of our Supreme Court.  Pray for our country and every citizen in it.  Pray for your family and friends.  The time is short and the choice we make today will last for all eternity.

I didn't know that....did you?

Raise your hand if your preference is to live in bondage, surrounded by chaos and at the mercy of stress and strife every moment of every day in every situation.

Yea, me neither!

Peace, calm, joy and reasonable happiness are a much better, much nicer alternative.

But how to achieve such a state of being in the midst of a tumultuous, chaotic world?

In the book of Philippians chapter 4 we find this section of scripture, words which almost seem to mock us in this current world of upheaval and strife!

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

HOW?!?!  How are we to focus on noble, pure and lovely things when arguing and fighting surrounds us?  When every other person we encounter believes their version of how life should be lived is the right one, but it conflicts with all the others?  HOW CAN WE ACHIEVE A SENSE OF PEACE AND BALANCE?

The entirety of Philippians holds the key:
Phil 1 -
Prayer is the beginning of peace taking hold of our thoughts and feelings
1: 12 -
Trusting God with the outcomes of whatever situations we find ourselves in
1:19-27
recognizing that our lives are filled with hope and joy when Christ is our Savior, and that because we have Eternal Life in Him we have no fear of the future or of death itself
2: 1-11
That when we put our hope in Christ, we are free from trying to "make something of ourselves" - for He has already made the best something of us we can ever be - Sons and Daughters of the Living God - and that by lifting and loving and caring for others, we ourselves will be cared for by the Creator of all things
What peace, not to carry weight on our own shoulders, but to be carried!
16-
we can rejoice greatly with abandon when we hold onto His words of truth. They will sustain us, strengthen us and hold us up, even when we suffer for His sake.  For we know that the suffering, due to the misery of this world, lasts only a moment, but the JOY coming is everlasting!
3: 1-15
We are warned and aware of the dangers to avoid, and put no trust in our fleshly ability to overcome, but allow His mighty Holy Spirit to bring us to victory!  We are not there yet, but we know what our end will be; life eternal in the presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
4-
When we live in unity with those who believe in Him and encourage one another in this walk of life, we discover that indeed, we have
PEACE that passes all understanding
HARMONY with our brothers and sisters in Christ
STRENGTH to overcome wicked perversity
JOY that cannot be extinguished
We turn over all things in prayer to God the Father, and receive with thankfulness His answers and our lives are ordered, calm, and a beacon of light to others that they, too, can bask in the safety of the harbor of Gods great love, grace and mercy!

Pick up the Book, read these great words and be motivated in your life today!

Love and Trust the Christian Way

My Dad used to say the sweetest things, to let me know he cared about me and was thinking of me.
He'd tell me he always thought of me once a day, every day, all day long.
I never doubted that he loved me.

Our decision to trust and obey God works like that.  We don't make it once, one time and it stays in place forever.  Our flesh is too fickle for such an easy way as that.

It is a decision we must make daily.

Once a day, every day, all day long; we need to choose to yield to the Holy Spirit.

Once a day, every day, all day long; we must decide we will obey the commands we were given.  To love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.  And to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Many of us think we have the "Love God" part down really well, even if we do struggle with the "love the neighbors" part.

God says if we aren't loving the neighbors, we aren't loving Him.

1 John 4:20

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

Jesus put it clearly as well.

John 14:21
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.

To love is to forgive, show mercy, encourage and think the best of others.

Show the Love of God to those around you today.  You'll be amazed at the results. You'll be amazed at the blessings that are showered down on YOU!

ON A DIME

We all say it.  We all believe it.  AND IT'S A GREAT BIG FAT LIE!!!

"nothing changes overnight"

We say it to make ourselves feel better when we are struggling to change, or struggling to accept how slow change is in coming about.  We say that when we keep slipping back to old habits and it seems change will NEVER actually happen.   Or if it does, it won't be happening for a long time.

But that is a lie from the pit of hell.  Yet another deceit of satan to keep us from experiencing the glorious, joyful, immediate blessings of our Lord and Savior the Almighty God and creator of all things.

LIFE turns on a DIME.

For the TRUTH is this:

The very instant we dare to believe God, our hearts change - INSTANTLY.
Our perspective changes - INSTANTLY - and that instantly changes our lives!

The very moment we think differently.  The very moment we dare to believe.  The very moment we turn away from sin and obey God. That very instant when we take God at His word we are changed.

Our negative self talk keeps us from experiencing change.  The negative talk of those around us keeps us from experiencing change.  The lies and deceits we think and endure in our own hearts and minds, keep us from experiencing the very change God promises.

We have bought into this deceit lock, stock and barrel because it makes us feel better about how slow we are to believe, how quickly our faith fails, how often we don't receive the blessing we so desperately need.

We want to feel better about ourselves, so we open ourselves to the lie.
Or we want to believe and feel better about someone we love.  They've promised to change.  They slip and fail and change hasn't occurred so we make excuses to make them and ourselves feel better - because change doesn't happen overnight, change takes time the lie whispers sweetly in our ear.

Change takes only the time it takes to change one's mind.

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Change your thought patterns and it changes your actions.  Change your actions and your life change happens INSTANTLY!.

II Corinthians 10:5b ...bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...

That's why satan doesn't offer up big, blatant, obvious lies.  He didn't tell Eve in the Garden of Eden "if you eat the fruit, you'll know good from evil BUT it will cost you the close spiritual tie with God."  He only told her a half truth - which is a full and totally complete LIE!

If we call it what it really is, we'll be able to defeat the lie.  It's about OBEDIENCE.  If we submit ourselves obediently to the word of God, we will express the TRUTH of God in our thoughts, actions and feelings.  When we know the truth, the truth will set us free.

"LORD, Bless us with open eyes and willing hearts to see and accept the truth, to apply truth to our lives and to trust Your Truth by faith that we might live FREE.  Where we need to know truth in order to change, make that truth known to us.  Help us to see and accept it, that we can be blessed by the changes that lead us into JOY, PEACE and fulfilled lives.  Thank you for Your Truth, applied in our hearts and lives, in Jesus Name AMEN"
